Life is pretty good these days. It's my first year at this university, and I'm enjoying the new surroundings and nice students, although I'm not so crazy about the long ride from Takatsuki in crowded trains. I'm really happy that it's warmer these days, because I hate cold weather. In my hometown in Australia we never have snow. Usually it's about 15-20 degrees during winter days. On the weekend I spent most of the time in the garden at my house. There is a lot of work (e.g. trimming hedges, weeding) to do at this time of year. I also bought a big maple (momiji) tree and planted it. I spent time on the terrace playing with my daughter, Sophie, too. She's 8 months old, and very cute. She's enjoying eating mashed fruit and vegetables, udon and so on. She has a good appetite, like her father!
